Spiritual Short Story: We'll see...

Many times we get obsessed with achieving a goal and we get frustrated if things don’t result as we planned. We want everything to be perfect, but the reality is that we can’t control our lives.

It’s good to have goals and wishes and going for them, but it is also important to relax and trust. Trust that sometimes things happen in a specific way for a reason, even that fact that we don’t understand why at that moment.

If you look back, you’ll realise that many things you didn’t understand back in the day, now seen from a different perspective, you’ll see that they helped you to learn, grow, or achieve something better than what you expected.

I invite you to relax, to be flexible and trust when unexpected things occur or the plan goes wrong.

I want to share with you a story I found to reflect. Keep in mind the attitude of the Zen Master: the things you don’t understand today, tomorrow will make sense. Go ahead and trust!

Spiritual Short Story: We'll see...

On his sixteenth birthday, a boy gets a horse as a present.
All of the people in the village say, "Oh, how wonderful!"
The Zen master says, "We'll see..."

One day, the boy is riding and gets thrown off the horse and hurts his leg. He's no longer able to walk.
All of the villagers say, "How terrible!"
The Zen master says, "We'll see..."

Some time passes and the village goes to war. All of the other young men get sent off to fight, but this boy can't fight because his leg is messed up.
All of the villagers say, "How wonderful!"
The Zen master says, "We'll see..."

Don't judge or control, accept and trust instead.
